Know Your Body

I think that one of the most important things in the fashion world is knowing your body. I know that sounds kind of hokey, but it's true. Knowing your body type can prevent a multitude of fashion faux pas.

For example, take Joe Jonas

The poor guy just doesn't get it. He has big legs; thighs and calves. Rather than a skinny jean, like he's trying to rock, he needs to wear a straight leg, or wider. It's one thing for women to wear jeans that hug their curves, it's an entirely different one for a man to do it.

Others who are notorious for being unaware of their body type:

Mariah Carey

and Jessica Simpson.

They both desperately need to befriend Christina Hendricks.

Because I know my body type, I save myself from fashion disasters such as these:

Why? My legs, my ass...oh man. We don't want to even go there.

I saw a pair of tiny floral print skinny jeans at Levi's the other day. They were so cute. My boyfriend looked at me and I said, "Yes, I know. My ass would look huge." And he said, "It would look like confetti....on your ass."

I wholeheartedly agree.
