3.1 Phillip Lim Resort '12

Tangerine Tango did not only grace the runways of Isabel Marant and Tibi, it was also one of the dominant colours of the 3.1 Phillip Lim Resort collection, which I absolutely love. The palette of the entire collection is fantastic; the monochrome looks in both neutrals and colours are amazing, plus the combination of the two. I always love the relaxing and comforting feelings that Phillip Lim's designs evoke. Yet at the same time, they're extremely classy and simplistic, and also juxtapose the masculine and feminine well.

Things I Need in My Life: A.L.C's Resort 2012 Collection

While scouring the archives at style.com for content for some upcoming (and painfully laborious) posts, I came across images from A.L.C's Resort 2012 collection. And, well, I need it in my life. But probably not as much as I need some decent weather to wear it in (holla Raincouver!). As much as I love me some spikes, studs (not men...but them too), arm and neck parties, and tranny heels, I also love minimalism. While the collection is extremely simple, the tailoring, structure, and flow of the fabrics stand out, so there is no need for excessive details.

Love at First Sight

It's not often I meet a pair of shoes I don't like. But it's rare for me to meet a pair of shoes and have it be love at first sight.

When I laid eyes on the Alexander Wang Chloe. Ugh. Be still my beating heart.

The colour blocking! The different textures! The height! The velcro! The ankle strap! The juxtaposition of the masculine & feminine!
